The beauty of the "yellow season" in Northwest Vietnam at Hang Dang De village

Passing the slippery dirt roads, you will see a yellow color at Hang Dang De village, a yellow color that makes photographers passionate, enthralled, and many people's dreams of coming here ...

Những nẻo đường Tây Bắc hẻo lánh xa xôi xưa kia mấy ai không có dịp tới vì phải di chuyển trên những cung đường rất hiểm trở, vượt thác, băng đèo, trèo núi… mà bây giờ đã là những điểm du lịch nổi tiếng thế giới.

Not many people has been to the remote and isolated Northwest - Vietnam because of its dangerous with very high, steep mountain... However, it becomes a famous tourist destinations in the world recently thanks to better traffic.

Sự phát triển kinh tế, giao thông miền núi nói riêng tuy chưa được đầy đủ nhưng là một thành tựu lớn và cùng với du lịch, nhiếp ảnh đã mang khách tới những vùng Tây Bắc hẻo lánh, hiểm trở.

The economic development and transportation in this mountainous area are not convenient yet. But in recent years, along with tourism, photography has brought tourists to the remote and rugged Northwest regions. 

 

Xin giới thiệu phong cảnh mùa vàng ở một bản mà đường giao thông hiểm trở nhưng đã bao nhiêu đời nay con người ở đây đã tạo ra một kỳ quan nhân tạo về phong cảnh trên sườn núi non hùng vĩ, ngút tầm mắt.

I would like to introduce the "yellow season" landscape in a village where the traffics are dangerous, but for many generations here people have created a man-made wonder of the landscape on the majestic mountainside.

Theo như ghi chép thì nơi đây có lịch sử làm ruộng bậc thang khoảng hơn 400 năm. Qua bao đời, bà con các dân tộc phát triển nương rẫy, trồng lúa nương vào thiên nhiên mà có thành quả như bây giờ.

According to history, this place has a history of terraced farming for more than 400 years. Over the generations, people of ethnic minorities have developed their slash-and-burn fields, cultivating paddy fields in nature and with results as now.

Đường đi vào bản vượt dốc rất cao. Ngày đầu chúng tôi đi bộ chỉ đến được nửa bản thì quá trưa rồi. Mỏi chùn chân, lại mưa rả rích nên đường đất trơn chuội không thể đi thêm, chúng tôi đành quay về homestay ở thị trấn Mù Căng Chải.

The road leading to the village is very steep. The first day we could only walk halfway, it was noon. We all feel a bit tired because of the rains and very dirty, slippery road. We were unable to go any further and went back to the homestay in Mu Cang Chai town to wait for the rain to stop.

Hôm sau vẫn mưa nhưng cả đội hạ quyết tâm đi lại bản này vì mới tới được những thửa ruộng đầu bản. Điều mà chúng tôi muốn là tìm hiểu nhiều hơn về những con người kiến tạo, và bản làng của họ. Hôm sau rút kinh nghiệm, chúng tôi thuê xe ôm là người bản địa.

The next day it still rained but our team decided to return to the village. We all would like to learn more about the people who make this beauty, and their villages. This time we hired a guide and motorbike "Xe om" to assist us in entering the village

Đến đây chỉ có thể người bản địa mới đi được vì địa hình rất dốc, với những khúc quanh giật cánh khuỷu và đường thì… nhỏ cỡ một xe qua, hai xe máy thì phải tránh nhau rất khéo hoặc một người dừng nép vào vách núi cho người kia đi.

Only indigenous people can get over the very steepy terrain, with its winding and very narrow roads

Bản Háng Đăng Dê nhỏ xinh đơn sơ những nóc nhà sàn quây quần giữa đại ngàn suối sâu, núi cao là những thửa ruộng bậc thang mà trên các trang báo, mạng xã hội những người “đút chân gầm bàn” chỉ có thể được thấy một số góc, một phần nhỏ trong bạt ngàn, lớp lớp, tầng tầng.

Little Hang Dang De village is simple and beautiful with stilt houses in the forest in mountainous area with terraced fields in which newspapers and social networks can only see a very small part, unable to describe the landscape here. If you do not admire it with your own eyes, you will not be able to see a very small corner of this fantastic landscape in photos.

Tận mắt nhìn thấy, tận chân bước trên bờ ruộng bậc thang và phóng hết tầm mắt ra xa mà nhà cửa, con người chỉ như hạt đỗ, hạt vừng ta mới cảm thấy rõ sự hùng vĩ của thiên nhiên và sự bé nhỏ nhưng lại rất vĩ đại của con người qua bao đời nương vào thiên nhiên.

See, walk on the terraces and look far far away where you will see houses, people are just like beans and sesame seeds. At that time, I could feel the wonder of nature and the smallness but greatness of human in many generations who have relied on it. If you visit the terraces, you can personally experience this breathtaking beauty.
